Question about removed features
Question: Should features removed still be included in the wiki? There was a stern shaming in the SAR Feedback channel for a user asking about a feature that may have been previously in the game:
Mod1 "it's not in the game anymore so it doesnt need to be added to the wiki :quankshrug:" Mod1 "it's not a bot and is no longer in the game anyways, so it doesnt need to be in the wiki" Mod1 "been no record of it being added/removed to the game and the wiki is only for official content" <- Despite that campfire map being 100% non offical. I know...I made/stitched it together. Mod2 "still not feedback  can be asked in sar general chat :p" Mod3 "Feel free to continue discussion in #sar-general" Mod4 "Yeah questions != feedback"
It may just be that I personally feel attacked on that channel - that concern is outside of the Wiki understood, just providing full transparency in conversation. My issue there is that questions asked to be resolved or looked into - if undesirable the users is asked to stop writing via passive aggressive comments. Thankfully that's not the case on the wiki. Sadly said members there make up the majority of contributors here. —Preceding unsigned comment was added by Flippywhippykippy (talk page • contributions) . Please sign your posts with ~~~~!
- Hey Flippywhippykippy, in my opinion all removed content also does have the place on the wiki, just not in the main article but in specific section that is usually called "History". The "History" section is usually placed below main content and above galleries/references. Documenting the dynamic medium like a video game requires following the changes and updating the articles, however the history of given feature is a valuable information that often gives context to the feature in current state. You can already see such sections in articles like Skunk Bomb or M16. Frisk (talk) 15:57, 29 July 2019 (UTC)
- I'd like to take this opportunity to say that this isn't the place to file complaints about things that happen in the Discord/game. If you would like to file one, please DM Logan or Michael in the Discord.
Hello! Thank you for your message about Japanese translation!
I'm sorry that I didn't know much about GamePedia and AnimalRoyaleWiki and that I was doing it the wrong way.
Thank you for the information. I will try to read this one.
Need help with the german SAR wiki!
Hi, I have created a german SAR wiki now but since I'm just good at translating and not really at creating brand new pages I would really need some help with the main page as I can't just copy the page from the source editor. But to create the german wiki I would bed it as a centerpiece and build it up from there. Thanks in advance! Here is the link to the new wiki https://animalroyale.fandom.com/de/f -SuperTik
The main page is unreadable in the light theme. The light theme links are also hard to read. DarcosRoyal (talk)
- Yeah, thanks for mentioning. Personally I use dark theme and it completely slipped my mind that I were supposed to do light mode overhaul. I'll fix that soon. Frisk (talk) 🐐🧼 12:35, 6 November 2021 (UTC)
PC Gamer weapons skins
Heya Frisk! Would like to request the deletion of the PC Gamer SMG skin file as well as the PC Gamer Sniper skin file. Both of these skins were not available for people as part of the bundle in the PC Gamer Magazine July 2021 issue. Was told by Logan that both of these were ones they were testing, but never saw a release.
- Done, thanks. Frisk (talk) 🐐🧼 08:54, 1 December 2021 (UTC)
