Mini Animals (sometimes referred to as minimals) serve as faithful companions to a player's Super Animal. Mini Animals, like other customizations, serve purely as cosmetics, and do not provide any unfair advantage over other players. Players are only allowed to have one minimal equipped at a time.

Behavior[ | ]

Mini Animals always keep to their owner's side, walking and running to match the movement speed of their owner. If the Mini Animal's owner has fallen in battle, the Mini Animal will sleep next to the owner's gravestone. If the pet's owner stands still and shoots at an enemy or an object, or an explosion occurs near the pet's owner, the Minimal will cower in fear.

While the owner-less Minimals that can be seen at the Mini Ranch can be petted during the match, player-owned Minimals can only be petted during the pre-game lobby, but only other players can do so. (the owners cannot pet their own Minimals).

When performing certain Emotes, Minimals will dance along to the beat of the music. There are two types of dances they can do. If it's slow like the "Default Dance" or "Slow Jam", they will sway their heads left and right happily. When performing faster dance emotes like "PBJT" or the "Samba", they will "tap dance" from side to side happily, also moving their head slightly.

Visibility and Audibility[ | ]

Line-of-Sight for Mini Animals is strictly tied to the Mini Animal owner's Line-of-Sight, so a Mini Animal will not reveal their owner's location if the owner is in the fog of war.

Sounds emitted by Minimals can only be heard by the pet's owner, unless the pet's owner has fallen in battle, in which case, any nearby animals will be able to hear the Minimal.

"Only in Lobby" Option[ | ]

Toggle option to enable/disable pets in player's games

Players are able to choose to have any owned Mini Animal Pets show up only in the party screen and the pre-game lobby, without joining their owners onto the battlefield. To do this, players need to go to the "Customize" menu, and select the pet tab icon. At the bottom, player's will have the option to toggle it on or off.

Mini Ranch[ | ]

Mini animal ranch — Mini Ranch sub location in Super Animal Farm

The Mini Ranch is a location in Super Animal Farm where players are able to find two random Minimals roaming around the stables. Players are able to interact with the Minimals here by using the "Use / Pick up" action, by default E^PC ^PS ^Xbox/Switch ^Joy-Con.

There's a Mini Shadow Skullcat locked in Mini Ranch, which may be a teaser that there's going to be another breed variant of Mini Animal Pets.

When a weapon is fired constantly while standing still, Minimals will lay flat on the floor and cowers in fear.
When the player uses an available zipline or the Zip-and-Go they deployed themselves, the Minimal will hold on to the player nervously while they zipline.
The Mini Chicken has already been teased during the release of Big Clucking Gun. However, by popular demand from the community, Pixile finally added it as the part of the Season 5 Animal Pass.
All Mini Animals make the same mini animal sounds, the high pitch "meow" and the purring when petted.
The Mini Red Panda is the only Mini Animal which has their eyes closed in a relaxed manner instead of the usual "happy closed eyes" most mini animals has when dancing.
The Mini Dog is the only Mini Animal where their tail wags faster than any other mini animals with tails.
