Strategy[ | ]
The Magnum is a weapon well-suited for early game, though in the late game it can be replaced by the Deagle.
Although it deals high damage, its low rate of fire makes it less effective against opponents wearing Armor.
Due to how Magnums can kill an unarmored opponent in two shots at close to mid range, it is advisable to take precaution against Super Animals who are wielding a Magnum while scavenging during the early game.

- The closest real world counterpart would be Taurus Magnum Revolver series.
- Carrot Magnum has a custom muzzle effect, producing carrots upon firing the weapon that is unique to that skin.
- Wrapped Magnum has a custom muzzle effect, producing confetti upon firing the weapon that is unique to that skin. The party weapon skins also shoot confetti upon firing, however it has a slightly different design compared to the Wrapped Magnum.
- Flintlock Magnum has a custom firing and reload sound that is unique to that skin.
- Soil Magnum has a custom firing sound that is unique to that skin.
Patch History[ | ]
- The Magnum damage at the muzzle is now 53 (up from 51) and the Magnum damage at the muzzle is now 55 (up from 54).
- Magnum now has 3 shots under fixed recoil pattern (previously was 2 before going into random recoil).
- Magnum clip size reduced from 7 to 6.
- Magnum now breaks 2 ticks of armor instead of 1.
- Weapon recoil is non-random for the first few shots in a spray, but then becomes random after that. Automatic weapons such as the SMG or AK have 8 shots as non-random, but others like the Magnum or Deagle have 2. The Sniper goes random after its first shot, similar to its current version.
- Magnum slight bullet speed increase.
- New bullet spread system added.
- Now uses Big Bullets instead of Little Bullets.
- Epic rarity removed, replaced by the Epic Deagle.
- Weapon recoil changes, recoil while moving now applies on a per-weapon basis.
